The experience
Day one takes you into the Masai Mara for your first game drive across golden savannah. The next days are spent chasing big cats, elephants, and vast plains herds, before heading to Lake Nakuru — a Rift Valley soda lake famous for black and white rhino, Rothschild’s giraffe, and shorelines often dotted with flamingos and pelicans. Two completely different ecosystems, back to back.
Why guests love it
→ See all of the Big Five across two parks → One of Kenya’s best spots for reliable rhino sightings → Compact routing — less time on the road, more time with wildlife → Flexible accommodation from tented camps to luxury lodges
Getting there
Nairobi to the Mara is a scenic 5–6 hour drive past the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Lake Nakuru sits closer, around 2.5–3 hours out, so the loop flows comfortably. Prefer to fly? We can arrange light-aircraft transfers to save time.
Best time to go
Rewarding year-round. Migration river crossings in the Mara typically run July–October, while Nakuru’s rhinos and birdlife deliver in every season. Dry months mean easier spotting; green season means fewer crowds.
