11-Day Kenya – Tanzania Safari (From $1,150 PP)

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Early morning pick-up from the airport and transfer to our office, where you will meet other members of the small group safari. After a short briefing, depart Nairobi for the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.

En route, enjoy a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for breathtaking views of this remarkable geographical formation. Continue to Narok town for lunch before proceeding to Maasai Mara, arriving in the afternoon.

Check in at the camp, relax, and later enjoy an evening game drive in search of Kenya’s incredible wildlife. The Maasai Mara is one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations, famous for its vast savannah plains, abundant wildlife, and the spectacular wildebeest migration that takes place between July and October, a natural wonder of the world.

Enjoy dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2: Maasai Mara Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara plains in search of the Big Five and other wildlife species.

This day also offers an opportunity to enjoy the optional hot air balloon safari. The adventure begins before sunrise as you soar above the Mara plains, followed by a memorable champagne breakfast in the wilderness.

Continue with extensive game viewing from morning until late afternoon, exploring different areas of the reserve where you may spot lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and many other species.

Dinner and overnight at Miti Mingi Eco Camp.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, check out of the camp. You may choose to visit a Maasai village (optional) to experience the traditional culture, customs, and way of life of the Maasai people.

Depart Maasai Mara for Lake Nakuru with lunch en route. Enjoy scenic views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha along the way. Arrive in Nakuru in the afternoon, check in at your hotel, relax, and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rich birdlife, including large flocks of flamingos.

The park is also a successful rhino sanctuary, protecting both white and black rhinos. Other wildlife commonly seen includes buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species along the lakeshore.

Later, depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving in the evening. Check in at the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park Full Day

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most scenic parks, famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Explore the park’s wetlands and seasonal swamps, where elephants gather to drink from underground springs originating from Kilimanjaro’s ice cap.

Enjoy lunch before continuing with an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, impalas, and other species.

You may also choose an optional visit to a Maasai village to experience the traditions and culture of the local community (payable directly to the Maasai elders).

Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 6: Amboseli – Arusha (Tanzania)

After breakfast, enjoy your final game drive in Amboseli before departing for Tanzania through the Namanga border.

Complete immigration formalities before continuing to Arusha town. Arrive in the evening and transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 7: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. During your safari, you may spot animals such as elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lesser kudu, eland, and gerenuk.

Dinner and overnight at the camp with upgraded beds and bedding.

DAY 8: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire before departing for Serengeti National Park.

The journey takes you through the famous Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made remarkable discoveries about early human history. A visit to the museum is available at an additional cost.

Continue to Serengeti, arriving for lunch at Seronera area, followed by an afternoon game drive across the endless plains of the park.

Experience the beauty of Serengeti as you search for large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, lions, and other wildlife.

Dinner and overnight at the camp with upgraded beds and bedding.

Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend over 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day crater tour with picnic lunch. Explore the diverse habitats within the crater, including forests inhabited by elephants and monkeys, the soda lake where flamingos can often be seen, and open grasslands where predators such as lions hunt.

Enjoy spectacular wildlife viewing before ascending from the crater.

Dinner and overnight at the camp with upgraded beds and bedding.

Day 10: Ngorongoro – Arusha

After breakfast, enjoy your final game drive in the Ngorongoro area before departing for Arusha.

The crater is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, and many other species.

Drive back to Arusha with lunch en route. Later, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.

Day 11: Arusha – Nairobi

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Nairobi by Am Shuttle bus.

Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
