Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. Drive through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, stopping at the scenic viewpoint for spectacular panoramic views before continuing to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Arrive at your camp or lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation before heading out on an exciting afternoon game drive. The Maasai Mara is renowned for its exceptional wildlife, including the iconic Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. The reserve is also home to cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and numerous antelope species. Between July and October, witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles.
Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara
After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive across the endless plains of the Maasai Mara. Explore different sections of the reserve as you search for the Big Five and other incredible wildlife in their natural habitat.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location, often near the famous Mara River, where crocodiles and hippos can be seen and where the dramatic wildebeest river crossings take place during the migration season.
Continue with afternoon wildlife viewing before returning to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and journey toward Lake Nakuru via the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy lunch en route while taking in scenic views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha along the way.
Arrive in Nakuru in the evening and check in at Citymax Hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Nairobi
After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuaries. The park is famous for its large populations of flamingos and numerous other bird species, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. It is also one of the best places in Kenya to spot both black and white rhinos, as well as the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe.
Spend the morning photographing wildlife and enjoying the park’s beautiful scenery before departing for Nairobi after lunch. Along the way, make a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for more spectacular panoramic views.
Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
